A Modern and Low Maintenance Garden

We designed this small, modern residential urban garden as an outdoor room for a family who wanted to use the space all year round for relaxing, entertaining, and barbecuing.

We completely removed the lawn, and we combined contemporary materials with minimal planting - including an area of ornamental grass; a raised terrace with an outdoor fire forms the main focal point of the garden; a dedicated space to barbecue was provided; and a full complement of outdoor lighting creates a garden can be enjoyed at any time of the day or night and at any time of the year.
