A Contemporary and Traditional Garden Haven

Victorian glasshouse and yew topiary

Our brief for this previously unused area in a larger garden was to create a tranquil ‘secret garden’, designed for relaxing on summer evenings (when the rest of the garden becomes more shaded).

Seen here early in its first season, the garden will bloom into a colourfully planted space alongside contemporary elements blended with a more traditional feel (the Victorian style glasshouse, the long pergola, and the folly for example).

Already the garden is filled with wildlife - from pollinators and birds, to bats, to the occasional badger passing through!

This Durham garden design is nestled within the beautiful landscape of the North East.
