A Steeply Sloping Garden

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team we have been asked to create a garden design in Yorkshire for this stunning new-build house.

A steeply sloping garden, with views to Whitby Abbey and the sea beyond, the garden consists of large retaining walls, designed to reflect the architecture of the house, alongside a series of steps and terraces which create a journey through the garden and lead to a garden building and outdoor kitchen. Naturalistic planting and areas of mown turf create a biodiverse garden for both people and wildlife.
